A reclining adult German Shepherd and her seated pup, rendered in dark patinated cast bronze at 60cm across, capture the quiet bond between parent and offspring with extraordinary fidelity. The adult lies low and at ease, weight settled into the ground, while the smaller figure leans upright against her flank in a composition that feels observed rather than staged. Every strand of fur across both bodies has been individually worked into the surface, building a texture that reads as lifelike from any viewing distance.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished Patina

Produced by the traditional lost-wax method, each sculpture is cast in solid bronze and chased by hand before the patina is applied in controlled layers. The finished surface is a deep, warm brown-black that emphasises the fur modelling and weathers gracefully outdoors without structural degradation. At 35kg the piece sits with authority and resists displacement by wind or casual contact.

Designed for garden placement directly on lawn, paving, or a prepared gravel bed, this sculpture suits a naturalistic setting: the absence of a plinth keeps the figures at ground level and reinforces the sense of real presence. A sheltered courtyard, walled garden, or the foot of a garden staircase would each frame it well.
